RECENT  ACCOMPLISHMENTS

August 27, 2010 - 20 IT projects honored GCN Awards

Government Computer News (GNC) recognizes the DHS Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) DisasterAssistance.gov project as a top 20 IT project for 2010.

The honor was given to the FEMA Recovery Directorate, Disaster Assistance Improvement Program (DAIP) Project Management Office for the Disaster Assistance Improvement Program (DAIP).

In reponse to Hurricane Katrina, DAIP, a partnership among 17 federal agencies led by FEMA, used FEMA’s first service-oriented architecture in establishing DisasterAssistance.gov, a single point for survivors to access and apply for federal assistance and obtain information from federal, state and local sources - www.disasterassistance.gov.
